I am a recording artist/professional that has lost a substantial amount of my revenue and royalties due to Internet piracy and illegal downloading of my copyrighted music files through illegal peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. I am also a citizen of this country that pays my taxes, contributes to political campaigns, and strongly influences voters. The utilization of the current illegal P2P music technology is the culprit of my losses and has created a state of anarchy in the copyright laws that have been a challenge that the Department of Justice has yet to meet.
