I am a recording artist/professional that has lost a substantial amount of my revenue and royalties due to Internet piracy and the illegal downloading of my copyrighted music files through illegal peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. I am also a citizen of this country that pays my taxes, contributes to political campaigns, and strongly advocates Education. Due to the massive amount of music Internet piracy occurring on educational facilities, amongst other locations, I have not received the revenue and royalties that I am rightfully entitled to. As a result, the copyright laws are in a current state of anarchy, and the Department of Education has not met this challenge………….yet.
