Dear Congressman:

I am a recording artist/industry professional that has lost a substantial amount of revenue and royalties due to the current state of Internet piracy and the illegal downloading of music through illegal peer-to-peer networks. I am also a citizen of this country that pays my taxes, contributes to political campaigns, and strongly influences voting. Due to this music Internet piracy, I have not received the revenue and royalties that I am rightfully entitled to because of the current illegal P2P music file-sharing technology in creating a state of anarchy in the copyright laws. Congress has not met this challenge……yet.

Today, I am presenting you with two technical solutions for the Internet music piracy issue: “Clouseau® & Windows® + Transport Control®” developed by SafeMedia Corp. I am advocating the Clouseau® & Windows® + Transport Control® solutions because they are well tested and proven to completely eradicate the massive theft of music created by the illegal P2P technology. Clouseau® & Windows® + Transport Control® provide the music industry protection from Internet piracy and give the recording artists/industry professionals a chance to stop the losses they have been subjected to from the illegal downloading of their music files. This also accomplishes Congress’ goal and objective in maintaining and enforcing copyright law.

Congress should advocate Clouseau® & Windows® + Transport Control® by linking their funding to colleges, universities, and other educational and public institutions, and making that linked funding contingent on implementing Clouseau® & Windows® + Transport Control® into those facilities and institutions. By doing this, you will aid in eliminating a large percentage of the current theft of music on the Internet, since recent studies have shown that most illegal downloading has been attributed to students in colleges, universities, and other educational institutions.

Clouseau® & Windows® + Transport Control® are available now for immediate demonstration and implementation. As soon as these product solutions are implemented, their preventive effects will prove themselves immediately in the massive reduction in music Internet piracy in those institutions mentioned above.

I suggest that Congress move forward in strengthening the penalties for Internet music piracy and taking whatever steps necessary to stop illegal downloading of copyrighted files, especially in our nation’s educational facilities and institutions. It’s clear that the pirates are making a choice to be criminals, and they need to be stopped. I am asking you to act decisively and swiftly by presenting bills and voting on them to exterminate blatant violation of copyright laws.
