America is at war here at home within our own borders. And we are taking casualties. Women, men, and children. People are losing their life savings. Jobs are disappearing. Americans are illegally downloading music, movies, computer games, and software through illegal peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. And every time they download, they are stealing. Never in history has so much been stolen by so many.

And every time this theft takes place, someone is hurt, someone is not paid, and someone d oes not earn what they have worked for. Our fellow Americans are the casualties of this war at home. You know at least one victim. We all know at least one victim.

Our government is aware of what’s going on. It may not always be at the top of lawmakers’ minds, but actions have been taken, laws have been passed, rules have been enacted, warnings have been issued, criminals have been prosecuted, fines have been paid, perpetrators are doing time, and yet, the war is generating more casualties than ever before.
