- File size: File sizes are much larger, thank HTTP (graphics are the large part
250kb to 500kb). P2P files size typically range from 3.5Mb for a four minute mp3 audio track to in excess
of 2Gb for a windows movie.
- One connection is usually used for HTTP. In P2P Downloads open many simultaneous connections.
- Content changes much faster in P2P than HTTP.
- Port 80 is fixed port for HTTP, while in P2P many ports are used inclyding port 80.
- HTTP traffic flow in asymmetrical manner while in P2P Traffic flow is virtually symmetrical.
For every file downloaded somewhere on a Peer-to-Peer network, the file has to be uploaded from another client.
