SafeMedia Corp. recognizes the need to work together to address the growing threat of Internet piracy that has strongly impacted virtually every individual and group within the Recording, Motion Picture, Software, and Digital Books industries. With the recent increased government attention from the Congress, State Judiciaries, and the Departments of Justice, Education, and Commerce, and the growing threat of Internet piracy to the economy, jobs, and consumer protection, it is important that our group organize itself quickly and efficiently to leverage the power of our collective resources. SafeMedia strongly believes the most effective way of achieving this goal is through a grass root support-based coalition.

Mission Statement

SafeMedia’s Coalition Against Internet Piracy (CAIP) is committed to increasing the understanding of the negative impact of Internet Piracy and advocating for the successful implementation of "Clouseau™" by working with Congress and the administration; Departments of Justice, Commerce, and Education; and Copyright Holders and their Associations, Unions, and Organizations to drive greater government-wide efforts to address the serious issue of Internet piracy and the violation of the copyright laws and to recognize that there is now a solution (Clouseau™) to the serious unresolved issue of Internet Piracy.

Coalition Goals

As Congress and copyright holders are in a stand-still watching the erosion of copyright laws, SafeMedia product solutions must emerge as the technological solutions to a political, legal, and social problem created by technology advancement.

1. Organize and utilize a grass root support effort to stop Internet piracy by identifying and encouraging the adoption of SafeMedia’s product solution: Clouseau™
   
   
2. Work with all relevant government agencies to educate and promote Clouseau™ role in ensuring greater detection, enforcement, and prosecution of Internet piracy crimes.
   
   
3. Encourage and coordinate greater research, data gathering, and communications efforts about the impact of Internet piracy and how Clouseau™ will aid in eliminating this hazardous culprit.
   
   
4. Educate and demonstrate to the U.S. government on how Clouseau™ will help increase international Internet piracy initiatives
   
   
5. Provide information on the best-of-breed core technologies SafeMedia has to offer that will aid in anti-counterfeiting anti-Internet piracy efforts.
   
   
6. Utilize grass root support to compel Congress to fund the installation of Clouseau™ in all educational and governmental facilities that they currently fund.
   
   
7. Utilize grass root support to compel lawmakers to strengthen and enforce Internet piracy penalties since Clouseau™ are now available.
